Mysuru: Even after 100 days, police are clueless about my son’s murder. If the government can’t arrest the culprits involved, let them give statement through media that they cannot catch the culprits, said Chandramma, mother of slain BJP leader Raju who was found brutally murdered in Udayagiri on March 13.

Former minister and Mysuru district BJP president M Shivanna speaking at the dharna

Speaking during a dharna, front of Basavaeshara statue organized in association with various Pro Hindu organizations on Wednesday she said, “The government failed to arrest the culprits who murdered my son. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who claims to be a champion of public causes, failed to provide us justice even after 102 days. Police even failed to get lead in the case. They are able to arrest the accused in various cases, but they have failed to arrest any accused or get lead about my son’s murder. It seems something is fishy,” she said.

Member of Parliament, Mysuru-Kodagu, Pratap Simha, who also spoke on the occasion, said that the police and the government are trying to close the case. “If the police fail to arrest the culprits at the earliest, we will hold state-wide protests in days to come,” he said.

M Shivanna, former minister and Mysuru district BJP president called upon the police to provide justice to mother of Raju, who was killed by unidentified persons by arresting those involved in the murder.

Former minister Ramadas who also spoke on the occasion said, “The surrounding places of Kyathmaranahalli, has become like a mini Pakistan. People belonging to Hindu who are residing in these surrounding places are vacating. At least on humanitarian ground, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take initiative to arrest those involved in Raju’s murder”.

More than 500 people including MLC Vijayashankar took part in the dharna.

It can be recalled that RSS leader Raju was murdered brutally on March 13. The incident created lot of tension in Mysuru and surrounding places. For a couple of days, as a precautionary measure, section 144 was also imposed in some of the communally sensitive places in Mysuru.
