Mysuru: CCB police raided a snooker parlour behind Suryanarayana Temple at Rajivnagar coming under Udayagiri Police Station limits on Jan. 9, and arrested 10 persons who were indulged in illegal betting and have seized Rs. 43,700 stake money from them.

Abdul Malik of Bannimantap, Hameed and Syed Mubarak of Shanthinagar, Rizwan Khan and Wasim Mohidheen of Rajivnagar, Wasim Khan, Roshan and Iqbal Khan of Lashkar Mohalla, Irfan Khan of Udayagiri and Mohammed Riyaz of Ghousianagar in city were arrested by the police.

The Police besides seizing the stake money have also seized mobile phones which were kept at stake and snooker equipments of the parlour.

A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station in this regard.

DCPs A.N. Rajanna and M.M. Mahadevaiah supervised CCB ACP K.N. Madaiah, Inspector P.A. Sooraj and staff in the raid.
