Public adoption of HIV kids from today

Mysore: As a mark of support to the cause of HIV +ve affected children, Press reporters covering the ‘Virus-Free India’ initiative of the city’s Ananta Bharata Charitable Trust (ABCT), tied ‘Friendship Band’ to HIV affected children at a programme organised at Rajendra Kalamandira on Ramanuja Road on September 13.

ABCT’s founder President and former Minister S.A. Ramdas, speaking on the occasion, said that about 150 dignitaries are attending the Dinner Meet with HIV children, during which the HIV children will be termed as ‘Children of God’.

He said he would propose to the Union Government to officially identify HIV affected children as ‘Children of God’ (Devara Makkalu) and added that public adoption of HIV affected children will be launched from tomorrow.
