Protests galore in Mysore

Mysore : The city of Mysore saw several protests on Tuesday June 24 by various organisations in support of several of their demands.

The Mysore Kannada Vedike  staged a protest condemning the  moves of the NDA  government at the Centre to impose Hindi through social sites.

The BJP Yuva Morcha units of Mysore city and rural areas protested against the policy of delay pursued by the government in sanctioning houses to the backward classes under Basava Housing Scheme.

They took out a rally from the  Babu Jagajaeevan Ram Circle to the DC office and submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner enlisting their demands. Additional DC Archana accepted the memorandum on behalf of the DC.

Rajya Dravida Mahasabha  too  took to the streets  alleging that the  benefits of various government schemes were not reaching the target group. The members gathered in front of the Town Hall and shouted slogans against the government. A protest rally was also taken out  upto the DC office.

 KPTCL Temporary workers protest : The  protest of temporary workers working as daily wager gang men in KPTCL   entered the second day on Tuesday June 24 demanding  regularisation of their services. They have warned to continue their protest until the demand was fulfilled.
