Prostitution racket busted, 5 arrested from Mysuru

Mysuru: The Karnataka police have busted a prostitution racket in Mysuru, Karnataka, and have arrested five people for allegedly forcing six women from Mumbai and Kolkata into prostitution.

CCB sleuths bust flesh trade; Five arrested-1According to the report, Srivelsan, who runs the Atithi Aradhana Resort near Mysuru, was arrested along with Lathif, Suleiman, Bashir and Raman Kumar. Four of the five arrested belong to Kerala.

The police raided the resort on the basis of credible information which came from a retired police officer.

The police had raided the resort five years ago on similar charges. The six rescued women have been sent to a government care home.
