Mysuru: A prohibitory order under section 144 has been imposed for 5 days beginning yesterday in anticipation of the Virat Hindu Samajotsava scheduled for March 11 in Mysuru.

Praveen Togadia, International Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), is likely to address the gathering at the Samajotsava organised by VHP Swarna Jayanti Utsav Samithi, Mysuru District, at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds in city on Mar. 11 at 4pm.

C. Shikha, DC, said that based on a report by the City Police Commissioner and the SP, the ban orders have been clamped from Mar. 9 to 13 to ensure proper maintenance of law and order and to prevent any untoward incidents.

Screening of any CDs or video clippings of speeches during the Samajotsava is prohibited she added.
