Pregnant Nepali woman abandoned at Kanchamalli village

Mysuru: A 30-year-old woman of Nepalese origin, who is six months pregnant, was found abandoned at Kanchamalli village of H D Kote taluk on Tuesday night.

Though she was abandoned on Tuesday night, it was the next day morning that an Anganwadi worker and the villagers came to know of this woman. The Anganawadi worker and the women in the village gave bath and first aid to her and brought the issue to the notice of CDPO. Jasheela, CDPO along with the local police took her to hospital for treatment. Later she was brought to Shakthidhama.

As Shakthidama is meant for those below 18 years of age she was later to taken to Vijayanagar where there is a government home for such people. Though the police, doctor and even Jasheela tried to get details from the lady, she didn’t utter a word. On Wednesday, she was taken to Cheluvamba hospital for treatment.
