Mysuru: Saraswathipuram police have filed a complaint against Mysuru City Corporation Corporator Nandeesh Preetham and Contractor Lingaraju for assaulting and hurling abuse at Pourakarmika Suresh on Sunday.

On Saturday Suresh, a resident of Saraswathipura consumed poison, frustrated at loosing the job. Later he was admitted to K R Hospital but now he is out of danger, according to the treating doctor.

In the complaint it is said that, Suresh who was working for 10 years was removed by his contractor Lingaraju at the request of Nandish Preetham, following which Suresh took the extreme step.

Suresh also said, Corporator Nandeesh Preetham and contractor Lingaraju were torturing him while at work, and they used abusive words against him. Two months ago Nandeesh had instructed  the contractor to remove him from the work. After this incident, a  frustrated Suresh attempted to commit suicide on Saturday. Suresh mentioned that the Corporator and the contractor were harassing the pourakarmika’s in the work place.

A case has been registered in Saraswathipuram Police station.
