Police raid plantation carrying out illegal cultivation of marijuana

Mysuru: Police seized marijuana that was secretly cultivated in a banana plantation at Bharatwadi, Hunsur in the district.

 
In a raid at accused Ramesh’s plantation, police found 29 marijuana plants. However, Ramesh escaped from the spot and is absconding.

 
The raid was conducted after the District Superintendent of Police Chetan received a tip-off regarding the illegal cultivation.
