Mysuru: Many policemen were sent on duty to different locations to foil the attempts of the policemen going on protest on June 4 to ensure law and order on that day.

During the parade held at a parade ground meant for mounted police instead of CR grounds where Friday parade is held normally, a senior officer tried to hear the views of policemen who intend to take part in the protests.

Around 700 policemen had gathered for the parade where they were asked to come forward and register their grievances in the book provided. However, no policeman came forward to register his opinion fearing stringent action.

In order to ensure law and order, the policemen were moved out of the city to different locations. All policemen and their family members were cautioned by the senior officers not to take part in the protests.

One policeman on conditions of anonymity, expressing his displeasure said, most policemen working under city armed reserve wing have been shunted to Chamarajnagar. There are certain rumors making rounds that few policemen are kept under arrest at a secret location to quell the protest move by the disgruntled policemen.
