Mysuru: In a shocking incident, a man, who was humiliated after he got into fist fight with his neighbour and got injured, committed suicide here at a hospital on Wednesday, October 19.

Jayaram (41) from Gandanahalli village in K R Taluk is the deceased.

It is learnt that Jayaram and his neighbour Kalegowda always got into scuffle after Kalegowda used to park his goods auto and tractor in a site which didn’t belong to both. On Sunday, the family members of Kalegowda brutally assaulted Jayaram following which he was admitted to a government hospital in K R Nagar. On Monday Jayaram alleged that he was humiliated in front of the villagers and consumed poison at the absence of the doctor. He was immediately shifted to K R Hospital, but failed to respond to treatment and died on Tuesday.

Before death, Jayaram had given a statement in front of the police that family members of Kalegowda were responsible for his death.

A case has been registered at K R Nagar police station and an investigation is on.
