Palace photo-shoot: Deputy Director likely to be suspended

Mysuru: The investigation report into the pre wedding photo-shoot incident indicts the deputy director of palace administration for granting permission to the influential couple involved in the pre wedding photo-shoot, result of which he may be shown the door in the next couple of days.

The enquiry was held under the supervision of City Police Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (law and Order) Dr.HT Shekhar. The incident had caused a lot of embarrassment to the district administration as the influential couple managed to enter the palace through the security gates to involve in the photo-shoot within the palace premises. During the investigation, the retired IAS officer’s son had admitted to have secured permission through the deputy director Subramanya to gain entry inside the world renowned Amba Vilas place.

As the report is likely to be submitted in the next two days to the DC who in turn will forward it to the chief secretary during the next week, following which the deputy director may be suspended.

Deputy Director knocks HC doors

In the wake of an enquiry ordered into the photo shoot incident by the Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru, C Shikha, deputy director Subramanya had approached the high court of Karnataka for assistance. He had pleaded in the high court to consider the DC’s order as irrational.

The high court in response had refused to intervene midway as the enquiry into the incident was in progress and told Subramanya to approach the court, if the verdict goes against him.

Investigation complete: DCP

Refusing to divulge the details of the investigation, DCP Dr. HT Shekhar under whose supervision the enquiry was held, appeared to have indicated that the verbal consent given by the deputy director led to the photo shoot incident. During investigation, both Aditya (Retired IAS officer’s son) and the photographer have admitted to having secured permission through the director to enter the prime locations within the palace.
