Mysuru: The place administration board has improvised ticket booking facility and now tourists can opt for online booking to view the world renowned Amba Vilas Palace during their visit to the cultural city.
Tourists can log onto www.mysorepalace.gov.in to book tickets in advance while sitting in the comfort of their homes. This prevents them from standing in long queues to gain entry into the beautiful palace, rated as the 8th wonder of the world.
Once tourists/visitors book the ticket, they will get the printable version of the ticket in their e-mail with QR code and a parallel message on their mobile phones, confirming ticket booking.
Tourists can display the same at the various check-in counters available at the palace to gain entry easily. Nearly 35 lakh tourists visit the place annually and many have appreciated the move which not only saves time but also simplifies the entry procedure.
In addition to the existing 4 booking counters at the Varaha Gate, four more extra ticket booking counters have been newly opened. The new counters, 2 each, will be at the Balarama entrance and Amba Vilas entrance of the palace.
