Mysuru: Dr Krishnamurthy, Director and Dean of Mysore Medical College, speaking at the National Conference on Allopathy and Ayurveda conference, held at the Senate Bhavan here yesterday, said that “The Indian population needs 6 lakh Doctors in order to give better service”.

“Most of the illnesses do not require medicine in treating patients, only love, and tender care matters a lot which patients expect from the Doctors. Before treating the patients the doctor should reassure the patients of the method in which they are treating, either Allopathy or Ayurveda”, he added.
Dr Suresh B Vice Chancellor, JSS University of Mysore said “the mode and ingredient does not matters, the care and how you treat counts end of the day”.
Health Professionals should come forward and give their suggestion and better options to care for and cure the patients.
He also opined that to get best advantages without understanding the situation its difficult to work in the medical field.
The objectives of the conference were to create a platform for sharing existing and emerging models of an integrated approach to health care with special focus on complementarities of Allopathy and Ayurveda, to sensitize delegates towards practicing an integrated approach both in clinical practice and public health and to create a forum for interaction between representatives of world bodies, National bodies, Govt (policy makers), clinician, public health professionals and voluntary associations that will enable an understanding of mutual issues on the converging paths of Allopathy and Ayurveda.
