Nanjangud by-poll: Know your candidates, one without PAN card and the other without loans!

Mysuru: Congress candidate from Nanjangud Assembly constituency Kalale Krishnamurthy declared assets worth Rs 1.24 Crore in his affidavit submitted to the election commission while filing his nomination papers but surprisingly does not possess a PAN card. On the contrary, his opponent, BJP candidate R Srinivas Prasad has declared assets worth Rs 3.17 Crore.

Kalale Krishnamurthy, a bachelor at 60 years of age and diploma holder in automobiles has cash worth Rs 30 Lakh in different banks, 4.37 acre agricultural land, a house on 100 x 120 site in his native village Kalale in addition to a house on 60 x 40 site at Mysuru. He has clearly stated that he has police complaints and criminal cases pending against him .

Opponent Srinivas Pasad, a resident of Jayalakshmipuram does not own any agricultural land but owns LPG distributorship. A post graduate in Political Science, Prasad does not have any loans in his name but has declared assets worth Rs 3.17 Crore.
