Mysuru: A homemaker drowned to death in Kapila River in Nanjanagudu near here on Saturday May 7.

The deceased has been identified as Kavitha (38), wife of Girish a native of Nanjadevanapura in Chamarajanagara District. It is said that the couple came to shrine with daughter to offer pooja. Kavitha  drowned in to deep water while trying to take selfie.

The Fire and Emergency Services personnel fished out the body, and sent it to Nanjanagudu Government Hospital for autopsy. Hullahalli Police has registered a case and is investigating.
