Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Mandya District on Sunday March 12 to inaugurate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway and will arrive at Mysuru Airport before that. He will then travel to Mandya by helicopter. Proper security and protocol should be provided on arrival at the Mysuru Airport, said Special Protection Group (SPG) Officers Ambareesh Upadhyay.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting at Mysuru Airport, he said that the Prime Minister will arrive at Mysuru Airport at 11.10 am and leave for Mandya by helicopter. He will reach Mysuru Airport at 1.35 pm and leave for Hubballi. “It is the responsibility of the local Police Department to provide necessary security in this case and necessary steps should be taken in this regard,” he said.

Chief Ministers, Ministers and Union Ministers will come to receive the Prime Minister. They need to be disciplined. An organised hospital should be identified nearby, he said.

He instructed the District Health and Family Welfare Officers to provide three ambulances.
