Mysuru: A daily wager died after coming in contact with a livewire accidentally at Madduru in HD Kote Taluk on Saturday June 11.

The deceased has been identified as Pratap (22), son of a Former Taluk Panchayat Member of Hairige Village. The incident occurred when Pratap was working on an electric pole at a new layout near Madduru Village. He accidentally touched a livewire and died on the spot.

The victim’s family has complained against the contractor, lineman and engineer. The HD Kote Police has registered a case and is investigating.
