Mysuru: Citing discrepancies in the execution of civil works in R. R. Nagar Constituency in Bengaluru, a Lokayukta report has said that the State Government has lost money. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman M. Lakshman on Friday August 26 demanded the resignation of Horticulture Minister N. Munirathna.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that bowing to pressure, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has asked the officials to provide him documents related to the corruption charges. More money has been paid to civil works than what it should be. A Lokayukta report said the State Government has already lost Rs. 118.75 Crore. Around 114 civil works are under the scanner.”
He said Munirathna should resign from the post of Minister.
