Mysuru: 9-day Arogya Dasara from September 26

Mysuru: Dasara, which will be celebrated after two years, will also be focused on healthcare. A nine-day Arogya Dasara (Health Dasara) will start from September 26 and will be organised as part of the celebrations.

The grand event, which will take place in every taluk and the City, is being organised by the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Private hospitals will collaborate with these camps to hold them. Health Exhibitions will also be held in Mysuru and its taluks and even here, the private hospitals will be roped in.

The focus of the Arogya Dasara is the treatment of cancer and heart conditions, and health camps will be organised in the taluks of Mysuru, Hunsur, T. Narasipur, K.R. Nagar, Periyapatna, and H.D. Kote at PHCs and Taluk Hospitals.

The symptom screening will be free. The sponsoring hospitals will also give free medication, and under the Ayushman Bharat-Arogya Karnataka (AB-ArK) programme, funding will be given in the case that advanced treatment and hospital admission are required.
