MP Simha, Surya form WhatsApp group to assist students in Ukraine

Mysuru: Kodagu – Mysuru MP Pratap Simha and Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya have formed a WhatsApp group to assist Indian students who are stuck in Ukraine.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday March 2 after inaugurating lower bridge at Chamarajednra  Zoological Gardens Simha said that we are in direct link with Indian students stuck in Ukraine. He said we have
given number of Nodal Officer to them and asked them to travel to Hungary. We are also communicating with  Ministry of External Affairs S. Jaishankar to send rescue planes to them.

He said according to  information there are 10000 Indian students studying in Ukraine. He said its really sad that an Indian student Naveen died before being rescued. The deceased studied in Nanjanagudu of the District. He said India has taken neutral stand on Ukraine-Russia war. The rescue operation is going on in a warfootinb but it is a difficult task, he added.
