Mysuru: Police arrested one Chand Pasha, a native of  Ballenahalli in Hunsuru Taluk near here on Tuesday February 8 on charges of  withdrawing compensation money of Rs. 5 lakh, illegally.

It is said that the accused Chand Pasha had allegedly raped his own minor daughter, a tribal in 2019 and was arrested, and booked under POCSO. In the year 2020 the State Government  distributed Rs. 5 lakh compensation to the victim as she belongs to the tribal community.

The accused consulted minor’s mother and said that would help her deposit Rs. 5 lakh in her bank account. But on October last, he allegedly transferred the amount through NEFT and ATM card of mother to himself. On January 17 , when mother visited the bank to enquire about  money the fraud came to light.

Hunsur Rural Police arrested the accused and registered a case.
