Mysuru: On Thursday December 23, Mysuru has reported the first case of the Omicron variant of Covid-19.

According to officials from the District Health and Family Welfare Department, the Omicron variant case was found in a 9-year-old child who had returned from abroad. The child is asymptomatic.

The authorities are tracking and testing the primary and secondary contacts of the child.
