Chamarajanagar: In the village of V.S. Doddi near Wodeyarapalya taluk, an incident of digging for treasure was reported at a house on sunday. The accused individuals are currently absconding.

V.S. Bhagya, a resident of Doddi village, had left her home around four to five years ago and relocated to Bengaluru due to vastu concerns. Bhagya’s relative, Parashiva, brought her to a local astrologer, seeking advice based on scriptures.
Upon consulting the astrologer, Bhagya was informed of the presence of a hidden treasure in her house. Subsequently, she granted permission for a treasure hunt. In this regard, the astrologer, accompanied by his associate, visited the house. They conducted special rituals during the night, unbeknownst to others, and initiated excavation work for the treasure. The pit dug for this purpose measured 3 feet in width and 20 feet in depth.
Upon police arrival, local residents reported that the astrologer and his partner had fled the scene. The Wodeyarpalya sub-station police issued a stern warning to Bhagya, advising her against engaging in such activities for financial gain.
