Mysuru: Vidushi Ashwini Kolikkaje and Vidushi Dr. Medha Bhatt will present a musical performance together as part of the ‘Beladingala Sangeetha -243’ programme.
The programme will be held in the presence of Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji at Sutturu Matha on the evening of Tuesday June 14.
Vidushi Ashwini Kolikkaje is the daughter of Balasubramanya Bhat and Shubha from Kasargod. She learnt Carnatic music from her father at an early age. She has won several competitions in Kerala and Karnataka. She had also been selected for two national competitions. She studied higher musical education under Mysuru Vidushi Koviladi R. Kala.
Vidushi Dr. Medha Bhat will perform Carnatic music in this dual musical performance alongside Vidushi Ashwini Kolikkaje. She is the daughter of Dr. Balakrishna Bhat and Bharathi from Ujire, Dakshina Kannada. Medha received her early education in music from Vidushi Rajarajeswari Bhat and later from Vidushi Anusuya Devastala and Vidushi Tanmai Krishnamurthi.
Several other artists such as Vidwan Vedajna Narasimha, Violin artiste and Carnatic musician, Vidwan Saishiva, Mridanga artiste and Vidwan Shamith S. Gowda will be taking part at the programme too.
