Mysuru: Charan Manjunath, Business Development head at Dhatu Organics and Naturals Pvt. Ltd. is heading to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to volunteer at the Tennis event during the Paralympics starting September 5.
The journey to be selected to volunteer at the Rio Olympics and Paralympics started 2 years ago with group discussions, interviews, and several tests on language and sports knowledge. Being able to go to only one of the events, he chose the Paralympics.

A passionate sports and fitness enthusiast, Charan was the college captain for tennis and also won several matches for his university. He has also participated and won several recreational running and cycling events. He is also a research scholar, pursuing his PhD in Marketing, with a focus on brand identity in recreational running communities in India, at University of Mysore.

Charan is the son of Renuka and B.P Manjunath, BJP National Council Member and former KEA Chairman.
