Mysuru: Woman’s lone protest against prostitution

Mysuru: Last year, I had lodged a complaint with Varuna Police alleging that the husband and wife were running a prostitution racket in Varuna Police Station limits. Sarvamangala, the Founder President of M Chowdaiah’s social and educational charitable International Trust, staged a solo protest alleging that the Police has not taken any action.

She held an indefinite protest alone near the Gandhi Statue in front of the City’s Court and expressed her anger against the Centre, State Governments and the Police Department. Last year, I had lodged a complaint with the Varuna Police Station alleging that the husband and wife were running a prostitution racket under Varuna Police Station limits. However, no action has been taken by the Police. I also held a press conference in Mysuru District Journalists’ Association and Bengaluru in this regard. However, no action has been taken, she rued.

She alleged that private videos of the young man and the woman were made into CD by some policemen. She demanded an immediate probe and a ban on prostitution.
