Rani, a resident of Devarayashettypura Village in Nanjanagudu Taluk of the District, had also bought two cows by taking a loan.

The milk producers’ co-operative society of Devarayashettypura Village had also insured Rs. 30,000 for the cow from the National Insurance Company. And the ears of the insured cow were pierced.

The cow is said to have died due to ill health. Veterinary Officer Dr. Niranjan visited the spot, conducted an inspection as well as postmortem and sent the report to the National Insurance Company. Four months have passed since death of cow, but the insurance has not come. There is no earring in the cow’s ear. The cow is not your’s so the insurance cannot be given is what the officials say, alleges the woman.
