Mysuru: Two cases against Chamundeshwari candidate

Mysuru: Two cases have been registered against Congress candidate from Chamundeshwari Assembly constituency, Mavinahalli Siddegowda.

In the details given at the time of filing the nomination papers, he mentioned that there were two cases with details of assets. He has movable assets worth Rs 1.40 crore, immovable assets worth Rs 7.7 crore and bank liabilities of Rs 1.21 crore. Siddegowda, 56, has Rs 15 lakh cash in his hand and his wife has Rs 2 lakh. His annual income for 2021-22 is Rs 15.92 lakh. Two cases have been registered against Siddegowda for violating the model code of conduct. A case has been registered at Jayapura police station on April 12 for allegedly receiving Rs 10 lakh in election donations and holding a meeting in Mavinahalli.

 

A case has been registered at Vijayanagar police station for holding a party meeting at a temple in Koorgalli and for disrupting school work at Mavinahalli on June 11, 2021. All these cases are in trial.

 

He owns the Brezza car priced at Rs 12 lakh and the Mahindra XUV500 is priced at Rs 19 lakh. He owns gold worth Rs 45.98 lakh, silver worth Rs 3.5 lakh, while his wife has 810 grams of gold jewellery worth Rs 44.55 lakh. Chikkanahalli has 5 acres and 24 guntas of ancestral agricultural land worth Rs 2.8 crore. He owns land worth Rs 7.15 crore in Mavinahalli and Chikkanahalli. He has assets worth Rs 76 lakh in his wife’s name and Rs 6.10 crore in the name of his children.
