Mysuru: In a desperate mood, Siddaramaiah has invited stars to campaign, said Varuna BJP Candidate V. Somanna. He added that Siddaramaiah, who had promised to campaign only one day, is now visiting repeatedly.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “Dr Rajkumar’s family and I have a 40-year-old relationship. I have built a huge hospital in our constituency in the name of Puneeth Rajkumar. I don’t know why Shiva Rajkumar did this. I don’t know about Viji and Ramya. But I don’t know why Shiva Rajkumar did this.”

I am happy that Siddaramaiah is coming with the star campaigners and campaigning against me. Siddaramaiah is coming with stars just to bring people together,” he said.

Reacting to Siddaramaiah’s statement that the development of Varuna Constituency was done only by him, Somanna said, “Siddaramaiah is speaking as if the light will come only if the hen in his house cackles. If Siddaramaiah had made up his mind, he could have provided a golden period of development to Varuna in five years. There is no college, no hospital, and no roads in Varuna. In Badami too, Siddaramaiah did not do any development work. It also requires commitment to pay off people’s debrs. I did that job. If the people of Varuna help me win, I will be in Varuna. I will also make a house in Varuna and be there forever,” he said
