Mysuru: The city is gearing up for the Royal wedding of 24-year-old King Yaduveer, who will be tying the knot with 23-year-old Trishika Kumari Singh, on Monday, June 27 at the lavish Amba Vilas Palace.
Mysuru revisits royal glory ahead of Yaduveer’s wedding
Elaborate arrangements are being made in the palace premises. Though the formal wedding rituals will be held over five days from June 27, it is said that the religious rituals pertaining to the wedding will kick-start on June 22.
Rajmatha Pramodha Devi has been inviting dignitaries for the wedding and recently she was seen extending the invitation to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at his officials residence in Bengaluru. As per sources, over 35,000 guests are expected to become witness to the solemnizing of the wedding between two Royal families- Mysuru and Dungerpur.
The wedding is of great significance to the Wodeyars, not just because it is the wedding of the King, but because the Amba Vilas palace would be witnessing the holy union after a long gap of 40 years. It was in 1976 that Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wodeyar was married to Pramodha Devi in the very same Amba Vilas Palace.
