Mysuru District court gets new canteen

Mysuru: Principal District and Sessions Court Judge K S Mudgal inaugurated a newly constructed canteen adjacent to the Mysuru Bar Association at Mysuru District Court premises here on Wednesday, September 14.

Delivering the inaugural address, Judge Mudgal said, “A large number of litigants, lawyers and public attend the court premises every day. The existing canteen service was limited and couldn’t facilitate every visitor. Keeping this in mind we approached government for a permanent set up. The new canteen is spacious and will serve the purpose.”

Senior advocate and member of Mysuru Bar association C M Jagadish who was recently elected as the chairman for the Karnataka State Bar Council was felicitated on the occasion. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and District in-charge minister HC Mahadevappa were supposed to inaugurate the canteen, but due to various developments including cauvery issue, both could not attend the program.
