Mysuru city Lorry Owners Association stage protest

Mysuru: The Mysuru city Local Lorry Owners Association protested against the District Administration and demanded that their requirements be fulfilled.

they said that the sand transport contract with the district administration has expired and the they have not taken any measures to fulfil the sand requirements of the city. Consequently, construction activity has stopped. Many Labourers and contractors are without work and in a pathetic financial condition, and the reason for this sorry state of affairs is the District Administration.

The Association president said that they have many times given a request letter to the Administration, but have not received any positive reply.

The Association demanded that one lorry should get one sand dispatch permit per day, criminal cases on Lorry owners and labours should be cancelled, sand dispatch permission should be granted directly to the owners, installation of GPS should cancelled and police should avoid torturing Lorry owners and labour.

Revanna, President, Abdul Jameed, Vice president, Lorry drivers and other association members were present in the protest.
