Mysuru: NIA officials who have camped in Mysuru for investigating the mysterious low intensity blast case at Mysuru District Court are suspecting the involvement of banned terror group Al -Ummah from Tamil Nadu.
There seems to be a similarity in the blasts at Kollam court, Chittur court and Malleshwaram BJP office, said NIA officials. The Al-Ummah organisation which was banned after the Coimbatore blast is now reportedly functioning under the name ‘base movement’.
The investigating officers of NIA, special team from Kerala, Andhra and Telangana continued their search and investigations the second day.
The attackers might have planned to target the train moving towards Tirupathi through Mysuru route at around 4.20pm on Monday. As the train had delayed for 10 minutes, they might have placed the bomb inside the toilet near the court, suspects the probing team.
It may be recalled that on Monday at 4.10pm, a low intensity explosion took place at the district court. Four people suffered minor injuries. Luckily apart from damage to doors, windowpanes and partial damage to toilet room, there were no major damages. Home Minister Parameshwara and top police officials visited the spot.
