Mysuru all set to host PM Modi today

Mysuru: The district administration has made arrangements at a star hotel for staying of PM Narendra Modi in the city, after the PMO confirmed his overnight stay in the city on Sunday.

He will fly down to Mysuru Airport; spend night at Radisson Blu on Sunday and is scheduled to take a chopper to Shravanabelagola on Monday to attend the Mahamastakabishekha festival. The PM will get back to the city at Maharaja Cricket Ground helipad, where the authorities have arranged three helipads, launch railway projects including inauguration of double line and electric train at Mysuru Railway Station and attend the BJP rally at Maharaja’s College grounds before going back to Delhi through special aircraft from Mysuru airport.

The security authorities conducted few drills at three makeshift helipads at Maharaja College Cricket ground.

Deputy Commissioner D Randeep said that all rooms at Radisson Blu have been booked keeping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stay in mind. As many as 20 occupants in Radisson Blu have been shifted to other hotel. There are nearly 100 rooms and all the rooms have been booked for Prime Minister’s stay.
