Mysuru: District in charge and PWD minister HC Mahadevappa on Friday defended his son and said, “My son is not involved in any illegal sand mining or extraction, I am ready to resign if the allegations made against him are proved.”
Addressing media persons at a guest house, he said, “The opposition leaders have come up with irrelevant allegations which are far from true. Let them prove the allegation against me or son Sunil Bose. It is the BJP who promoted sand mining in the district and looted along the banks of cauvery and Kapila rivers in T Narasipur. BJP leaders including KS Eshwarappa have targeted me. It is a political conspiracy.”
Developmental work will go on at Chamundi Hill
Though various organizations are against the ongoing development work at Chamundi Hill, the minister was adamant in his stand and said that the work will go on and ecosystem will not be affected. ” I am also a green warrior and have lot of concern towards green. I will speak to them about the proposed project. The widening of Chamundi Hill road will also be undertaken”.
All the projects will be undertaken at the cost of nearly Rs 110 crore. He also mentioned that ongoing concretization of Sayaji road will be ready before September and there will be no problem for Dasara.
