Murder-convict to lose MCC membership; wife to be fielded?

Mysuru: The Mysuru City Corporation Commissioner Dr C G Betasur Mutt has submitted a report to the regional commissioner to cancel the membership of C Mahadesha representing 32nd ward after he was booked in a twin-murder case.

C Mahadesha and seven others were found guilty and were sentenced to jail in connection with a twin-murder case that took place in 2007 in Hunasur.

The Mysuru court had pronounced judgement on February 28.

The prime witness in the twin-murder case rowdy-sheeter Devu was brutally murdered near Paduvarahalli temple on Thursday, May 5.

The MCC commissioner submitted the report to regional commissioner to cancel the membership of Mahadesha following court order on murder of Devu.

Meanwhile, Mahadesha’s wife is expected to be fielded following cancellation of Mahadesha’s membership.
