Mysuru: A complaint has been registered at Laxmipuram police station against a retired Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) employee who allegedly misused power and sold a site by creating fake documents.

V S Ramaswamy is the retired MUDA employee.

In 1994 V S Ramaswamy had applied for a MUDA site (60×40) and in 2000 he paid Rs 50,000 for the same. Later he applied for another site and made changes in the Dattagalli third phase site no 1027/A document which was granted to him into Dattagalli second phase B Block.

After selling the first site, he realised that the illegal site where he made changes was a kharab land. So he stole the kharab land document and destroyed it. Then he created a fake document and sold it to an applicant. He made it sure that no one came to know about it till his retirement.

The irregularities came to light when MUDA officials were checking the registrations.

Now the officials have decided to file a complaint against the employee.

It is learnt that the police delayed to file an FIR against the retired employee as the accused has support of a political leader and also there was lack of evidence.

But the MUDA commissioner filed a complaint with the police commissioner about the delay by Laxmipuram police; hence an FIR has been registered following the commissioner’s order.
