Mysuru: The Mysuru Urban Development Authority has announced tentative lists of 1683 beneficiaries for the allotment of sites at R T Nagar. Public will be given 10 days’ time to file objections. After nearly six years, MUDA will be allotting sites to the public. Earlier it was in 2011 that MUDA had distributed nearly 1300 sites at Lalithadripura.
MUDA Chairman Dhruvakumar and Commissioner Mahesh released the tentative list of beneficiaries. After the hurdle for allotting the sites was resolved following an out-of-the-court settlement, the urban body prepared the list following the guidelines. The 218-acre layout was developed six years ago.
Of the total 1683 sites which will be distributed at R T Nagar, 34 sites have been provided to Backward Community, 110 to Schedule Tribe, 273 to Schedule Caste, 130 to Ex-servicemen, 126 to state government employees, 84 to central government employees, 871 to general category and 34 to Physical Challenged. MUDA had received a total of 38,523 applications for R T Nagar sites.
Rapid boom in surrounding places:
Once the sites are allotted, the cost of sites or the demand in the surrounding areas will be more. “The area will get water from Kabini. One can see rapid boom in the surrounding places. The belt will have a good growth” added Mahesh.
