Mysore: A large number of people aired their grievances at the Janaspandana Programme conducted by Mysore-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha at his office at Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur Road here on Tuesday October 14.
Residents of Bannimantap and nearby areas complained of the perennial damage of Jodi Tenginamara Road originating from Highway Circle and sought the intervention of the MP.
On learning the gravity of the problem, Pratap Simha spoke to MCC Commissioner Dr CG Betsurmath and asked him to initiate the repair works. He assured the residents that he too would make a spot inspection of the said road.
Meanwhile, the residents of Vani Vilas Extension in Hebbal led by its Residents’ Association President Parthasarathy complained that rain water was frequently flooding the areas owing to poor drainage system and appealed to the MP to inspect the area.
Later, speaking to press persons, Simha pointed out that the District in-charge Minister should be blamed for all civic problems in the district.
