Modi involved in election gimmicks, not development: UT Khader

Mysuru: State Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of indulging in election gimmicks and fooling people with his development agenda.

The note ban has caused immense hardship for common people including many deaths. Despite that PM Modi did not utter a word or sympathise with the families of the bereaved. The currency exchange issue remains unresolved even after 50 days after the note ban and will stay the same in the future too, predicted Khader.

He said the Above Poverty Line (APL) cards can be obtained online by linking the Aadhar number to the application. The original ration card will reach the beneficiary through mail within 15 days after verification, minister Khader confirmed.

After receiving complaints of people selling grains obtained through public distribution system, cash coupons have been introduced in cities of Bengaluru, Mysuru and Mangaluru, Khader clarified.
