Mysore: The Cheluvamba Hospital MMCRI, Mysore celebrated the World Breast Feeding day on Friday August 1.



Observing the first week of August as World Breast Feeding week, Cheluvamba Hospital MMCRI conducted a valedictory program.
The program was hosted by Indian Academy of Pediatrics Mysore District Branch, Mysore in association with Department of Pediatrics JSSMC, MMCRI and Inner Whell Club, Central.
Presided Dr Chandrashekar C President IAP Mysore Branch educated the importance of Breast Feeding and various other ways a baby must nurtured.
He said that mothers must avoid feeding milk made by milk powder, for at least 6months from the baby is born.
Putta Swamy the DHO of Mysore, who also was the Chief Guest of the program said that along with Breast Feeding cleanliness is important to avoid epidemic disease so mothers should take care of their babies.
Dr Narayanappa D President Karnataka State IAP also spoke on the occasion.
