Mysuru: MLC G Madhusudhan inaugurated the four newly built class rooms of Devaraja Womens Government PU college here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Mysuru Urban Development Authority had sanctioned Rs 25 lakh to build 4 rooms in this campus. The class rooms will be helpful for students to study here. Students who live in hostel have lot of difference when compared to other students.”
Students who daily come from home are more happy than the students who live at hostel because all the facilities which are available at home cannot be fulfilled by the hostel warden or friends. This college was built by D Nagabhushan and his work is bearing fruit now”, he said.
“In this college there was place for upto 600 students only and even this land has no space for constructing new buildings. Still ,MLA of Chamaraja Constituency Vasu has tried his best in providing good infrastructure to this college. Even state government has sanctioned many funds to construct buildings in near by places. Rs 92 crore has been sanctioned at padvarhalli to construct commerce, science and arts college and it will be ready soon. Students at this college have grabbed 5 distinctions and more than 9 students have scored above 90 percent”, he added.
Mayor of Mysuru City Corporation R Lingappa, MLA Vasu, Opposition leader D Nagabhushan, Corporator Prashanth Gowda and others were present.
