Mysuru: A man from Shanthinagar in Mysuru, who went missing on January 11, was found dead at Srirangapatna on Monday.

The deceased is Sadiq (22), a carpenter by profession who used to go to KR Pet everyday on work. He had left home on January 10 for work, but he did not return home thereafter. A missing complaint was hence lodged by his family at Udayagiri station on January 11.

Meanwhile, on January 13 a dead body of a young man was recovered from Paschimavahini-Chandravana near Srirangapatna. On Monday, January 16 it was been confirmed that the unidentified dead body is of Sadiq. The bruises on the face and neck evince possible foul-play in the death.

It is said that Sadiq was in love with a girl and recently a brawl too had broken out due to the same. With this, Sadiq’s family suspects that he might have been killed.

Srirangapatna police have registered a case.
