Mysuru: So far, none of the ministers have been assigned a portfolio or even been named district in-charge. However, in a surprise move, V Somanna, a Lingayat minister, has been appointed as the district in-charge minister of Mysuru by Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.

He was appointed as such after he met with the prominent seers of South Karnataka.

This means that the responsibility of organising the Dasara celebrations falls on Somanna’s shoulders.
