Once the news of Prasad being dropped from the cabinet broke out through various media, the followers of Prasad staged protest by burning tyres. More than 200 people had gathered at Ballal Circle and raised slogans against Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
“For the past two years he has taken up various development works worth more than Rs 5000 crores in Mysuru district. For Mysuru City Corporation alone he has given more than Rs 500 crore. There is no black mark against him. When such is the performance of a minster, how can the party drop him? It is an injustice to honest worker” added Rudresh, a supporter of Srinivas Prasad.
He also pointed out that though there is an allegation of a minister’s son involving in illegal sand extraction, why no action is taken against them.
