Minister Prasad invites CM for Dasara 2015

Mysuru: Speaking to press persons, after he  called  on Chief Minister Siddharamaiah in Bengaluru this morning along with a District delegation, and extended an official invitation to him on behalf of the Mysuru District Administration for Dasara-2015, Revenue and District in-Charge Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad, said the that the delegation would proceed to Raj Bhavan and invite Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala before calling on Karnataka High Court Acting Chief Justice S.K. Mukherjee.
He added, “In the wake of farmer suicides and drought situation prevailing in many parts of the State, Dasara-2015 will be celebrated in a simple manner and no person from any other State would be invited for the nine-day festivities scheduled from Oct. 14 to Oct. 23”.

“In view of the government deciding to celebrate Dasara-2015 in a simple manner, the funds for this year’s Naada Habba has been cut to Rs. 4 crore as against the Rs. 15 crore allocated for Dasara-2014”, he said.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah and others also released Dasara-2015 Publicity Posters.

Mysuru Deputy Commissioner C. Shikha, MLAs K. Venkatesh and Tanveer Sait, ZP Vice-President L. Madappa, ZP President Dr. Pushpa Amarnath and Deputy Mayor Mahadevamma were a part of the delegation.
