Mysuru: Mahathma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and Sansad Adarsh Grama scheme has not been effectively implemented due to lack of money being released by central government said Dhruvanarayan, Member of Parliament from Chamarajanagar.

Addressing media persons at Jaladarshini guest house here on Friday he said that due to step-motherly treatment from the NDA government, various central government schemes are not being implemented, not only in chamarajanagar but in several other non-BJP rules states.
“They haven’t released fund even to repair roads. With the help of state government’s financial assistance I am developing roads in my constituency. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Rural Development Minister H K Patil have written letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to release funds for the effective implementation of various central government schemes. But we have not received any response from the central government,” he said.
“About 110 taluks in the state are declared as drought-hit. Atleast Rs 1000 crore should have been released to carry out various rural development works in order to provide job to the drought-hit people under Mahathma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. The drought situation is forcing people to migrate to other places in search of job and food. I will raise voice against this in the Parliament in the upcoming session” added Dhruvanarayan.
