MCC pourarmikas boycott work demanding sacking of corporator Nandeesh

Mysuru: Mysuru City Corporation pourakarmikas association boycotted their work and took out a protest march to Deputy Commissioner office urging them to fulfill  their various demands on Monday.

They urged for the cancellation of MCC membership of Corporator Nandeesh Preetham for his recent assault on a contract employee of the MCC,  Suresh. They urged to file an atrocity case against the Corporator.

 It was reported that the Corporator Nandeesh Preetham had assaulted Suresh and Suresh attempted suicide, accusing the Corporator and contractor for harassment  and using abusive words and he was admitted to KR Hospital.

 Suresh also said, in a complaint submitted to the Sarawathipuram police station, that Corporator Nandeesh Preetham and contractor Lingaraju was torturing him while in the work, and they used abusive words against him. Further two months back Nandeesh had instructed  the contractor to remove him from the work. After this incident,  a frustrated Suresh attempted to commit suicide on Saturday.

Protestors urged to remove the contractor   Lingaraju from his work; To increase monthly wage from Rs. 500 rupees to Rs. 1000 rupees; to maintain the work hours of MCC workers : 6.30am to 1.30pm; and many other demands.

 President of the association N Mara, City President of the association Srinivas, General Secretary Murugesha, District President N Narasimha, Treasurers G Mahedeva, State Vice President Dhanaraj and other office bearers and members were present.
