These councillors included Balasubramanyam (Shyam), Sandesh Nagaraj, Jagadish.

The meeting was a continuation of the adjourned meeting that resulted in allegations by a few councillors against the MCC Commissioner C G Betsurmath for  alleged centralisation of power and the ignorance of public representatives voices on February 26.

At the meeting the Mayor recalled that he had directed the concerned officers to quickly respond to the councillor Balasubramanyam’s appeal on March 21, but the concerned engineers ignored his instructions and the councillor and failed to supply water.

However, the engineers tried to convince the combative Councillors saying that there was an electricity problem and other technical issues which prevented them from supplying water that day.

No permanent solution for dtreet dog menace

Councillor including Ayub Khan, M V Ramprasad, Sandesh Swamy expressed disappointment at the lack of a comprehensive solution to the street dog menace though the MCC was tendering the same since 2010. The tenders that have had a limited impact have resulted  crores of public funds being spent. The number of street dogs has not yet decreased. Statues will decorate circles in the city

Responding to a proposal, the MCC Council chaired by Mayor R Linagappa, Deputy Mayor M Mahadevamma, MCC Commissioner C G Betsurmath approved to install statues in many spots in the city which included statues of Shivarathri Rajendra Swamiji at Shivarathri Rajendra Circle, Kempegowda near Columbia Hospital on the Bangaluru Mysuru Highway, Sangolli Rayanna at Kurubarahalli Circle, Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji at the Apollo Hospital Circle, and Kanakadasa at Kanakadasa Circle near Nanjumalige.
